The Death Café was born in England in 2011, “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” Since then, Death Cafés have become a worldwide movement where people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death, dying, and facing our own mortality.

Death doulas to funeral directors to grief counselors have attended, as well as every day people. They are for everyone, spiritual or not. We all face death in our waking lives. From losing a pet. A grandparent. A child. Join us for a safe space to grieve, talk, cry, laugh, or just sit in silence and listen. No judgement. Because in the end, talking about death won't kill you. Free coffee, cake, and treats provided.

Moms Bassment presents PLAY IT FORWARD; a new event series offering DJs something a little different from the standard show you may be familiar with.

Play It Forward is all about DJs supporting each other and helping each other succeed. There will be 2 sets of decks setup in a face to face configuration on the dance floor. For the first 2 hours of the night, we will be doing a “Mix & Match” set, which means there are open decks available for all you DJs out there to plug-in, and tag-in with the moms bassment crew.

We also have quite a very special guest this time around… HeartWerk.

Goth Yoga is a 60 minute class for the damned, set up in traditional all levels vinyasa flow.

Vinyasa links the movement with the breath to create a moving meditation that cultivates balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance. We'll tone our bodies while slowly losing our minds... (in the best possible way).

This is a gentle moving class that is beginner friendly, offering modifications to fit individual students needs.

Join us while we do some not-so-sunny sun salutations to the sounds of all that is goth. You can expect to hear the likes of Sisters of Mercy, Joy Divison, Marilyn Manson, Prayers, Bauhaus, Got a song request? Send it our way!
